Fort Collins estate planning, probate, trust and business attorney, K. Michelle AmRhein’s legal practice focuses on estate and trust planning, business succession planning, probate administration and advising individuals and entities on complex business and tax matters, including executive and equity compensation arrangements. She has been advising business entities and individuals in Northern Colorado and Arizona for over 20 years.

Mrs. AmRhein’s extensive experience in tax, business and estate planning work makes her an exceptional lawyer to represent client matters involving estate and business succession planning, tax planning and probate and trust administration. She has served as Director of Tax for a multi-state, real estate development company where she advised on the tax implications of proposed transactions, strategies and deals. Mrs. AmRhein’s experience also includes private practice in a law firm focusing on estate planning, probate and business law in Arizona. She is also a former instructor of business law and legal environment at the University of Colorado and Yavapai County Community College.

Mrs. AmRhein received her law degree from the University of Colorado and holds bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and English Literature. She is licensed to practice law in both Colorado and Arizona. She is also licensed as a certified public accountant (CPA) in Colorado. She is a member of the Arizona and Colorado Bar Associations (including the Tax, Estate & Trust Sections of the Colorado Bar Association), and the Larimer County Association. She is a member of the Larimer County Trust and Estate Bar as well.

Prior to attending law school where she specialized in probate administration and estate, trust and business planning, she worked as a CPA in the tax department of Ernst & Young. Mrs. AmRhein has served on a variety of professional committees, held various leadership roles and speaks on a regular basis to professional and community organizations. She is a past member of the Tax Executive Institute, Arizona Chapter, she was secretary (2005-2006) and then elected president (2006-2007). She is also a past member of the Arizona Tax Research Association and the Committee of State Taxation in Washington, D.C. Mrs. AmRhein has also served as the Program Coordinator for the Prescott Estate Planning Council and is a past member to the Citizens Finance Review Commission and Transaction Privilege Tax Research Committee.

Today, she is also an active member in the Greeley community, she is a member of the Good Samaritan Society, Advisory Committee, PVH and MCR Foundation and the Planned Giving Advisory Committee.
