Coan, Payton & Payne, LLC (“CP2”) is pleased to announce that Jeremy Rose has joined the firm. Jeremy Rose’s legal practice focuses on all areas of business, technology, and special district matters, including corporate transactions, special district formation, elections, IT governance and risk management, and associated litigation. Mr. Rose’s technology practice offers clients a wide-range of technology-focused services, including IT regulatory compliance, IT audit outsourcing and co-sourcing, technology risk assessments, IT governance and planning, business continuity/disaster recovery planning assessments, and SOC planning and readiness.
Before joining CP2, Mr. Rose was a solo practitioner in the Northern Colorado community for seven years while also completing 18 years of service in the Army National Guard as a Judge Advocate, including serving as the sole attorney for a Special Operations command deployed to the Arabian Peninsula.
Mr. Rose received his Bachelor of Science degree from Doane University, majoring in biology and music and minoring in chemistry. He worked for several years in the banking and finance industries before graduating law school at Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska. While in law school, Mr. Rose focused his coursework on business law, receiving his Juris Doctorate with a concentration in business.
Mr. Rose is an active member of his professional and local communities. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Larimer County Bar Association. He is also a graduate of Leadership Northern Colorado and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy General Session. Mr. Rose actively participates in the technology industry and is a member of (ISC)2 national and Denver chapters as well as ISACA national and Denver chapters. He holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional designation, the preeminent security-focused technology certification, and is pursuing the Certified Information Systems Auditor certification.
Mr. Rose also has a strong passion for public service. He is a former board member for Windsor-Severance Fire and Rescue, the Windsor Town Board, and the Windsor Fine Arts Festival.
