Coan, Payton & Payne, LLC is pleased to announce that G. Brent Coan (managing member) along with Willis V. Carpenter and Andrew S. Klatskin have been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as 2016 Colorado Super Lawyers. Michael C. Payne (founding member) as well as R. Clay Bartlett have been recognized as 2016 Colorado Rising Stars.
The 2016 Colorado Super Lawyers and Rising Stars’ lists are credible, comprehensive and diverse honors reserved for lawyers who exhibit excellence in their practice. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the Super Lawyers research team to receive the Super Lawyers listing. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state are selected for the Rising Stars list.

Super Lawyers recognizes outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.
The recognition’s for Mr. Coan and Mr. Bartlett result from their outstanding performance in business and corporate law, this is Mr. Coan’s second year in row to be selected. Mr. Carpenter and Mr. Klatskin have been selected every year since 2006 for their work in business and real estate law. This is Mr. Payne’s third time to be recognized for his high-caliber service in creditor and debtor rights law.
