Paul T. Maricle’s practice focuses in the areas of business and corporate law as well as international business and commercial transactions. Mr. Maricle has extensive experience in areas including stock and asset purchase agreements, distribution agreements, licensing agreements, employment agreements, corporate governance, export regulation, commercial arbitration, international and commercial transactions as well as bankruptcy-related issues. He has advised small and medium-sized corporate clients in many aspects of commercial, corporate and business law including commercial transactions throughout his legal career. Mr. Maricle represents a number of German, Swiss, and Austrian clients and is fluent in German.
Mr. Maricle received his undergraduate degree in Modern Foreign Languages (German) cum laude with departmental honors from Washburn University of Topeka and his juris doctorate degree from Washburn University Law School. After graduating from law school Mr. Maricle served as law clerk to the Honorable Justice Richard Holmes of the Kansas Supreme Court.
Prior to joining CP2, Mr. Maricle was Of Counsel at a boutique law firm specializing in aviation law, government contracts, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), international business transactions and export regulation. Before that, Mr. Maricle was Of Counsel at Holland & Hart and had his own firm of Rossi & Maricle. Over the years, Mr. Maricle has negotiated the acquisition of $40 million in rolling stock leases, represented several publicly-traded companies and expanded his practice in the area of international commercial transactions. Recently, Mr. Maricle advised a real estate developer regarding approximately $150,000,000 in bank financing for the construction of retail facilities for several national retailers and senior care facilities.

Mr. Maricle has a passion for Germany, German language, and culture. He studied at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn, Germany and worked in Germany for almost five years. He has served on the Board of Directors of the German American Chamber of Commerce – Colorado Chapter in Denver for over 25 years and is also a director of the German Cultural Foundation. In July 2015, Mr. Maricle was appointed Honorary Consul for the Federal Republic of Germany. As honorary consul, Mr. Maricle is responsible for helping to encourage networking between the residents of Colorado and Wyoming and Germany, facilitating business opportunities and cultural exchange. In addition, he will be able to offer assistance to US and German citizens and companies with legal and consular issues related to Germany.
