Coan, Payton & Payne, LLC is pleased to announce that Founding Member Michael C. Payne, Esq. has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Northern Colorado Chapter of the Risk Management Association. The Risk Management Association was founded in 1914 and is a not-for-profit, member-driven professional association whose sole purpose is to advance the use of sound risk principles in the financial services industry. The Risk Management Association helps its members improve institutional performance and financial stability, and enhances the risk competency of individuals through information, education, peer sharing, and networking.
Mr. Payne received both his undergraduate and his law degree from the University of Kansas. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado, all courts in the State of Nebraska, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Payne’s practice is focused on the representation of financial institutions, private lenders, businesses and individuals in complex commercial real estate and business litigation and transactions, with a particular focus on the enforcement of creditors’ rights.
