Coan, Payton & Payne, LLC Announces Promotion of Matthew Chudacoff and Jody Duvall.

Fort Collins, CO – Coan, Payton & Payne, LLC (“CP2”) is pleased to announce that Jody Duvall and Matthew Chudacoff have been promoted to Partners at the firm.

Matthew Chudacoff supports clients throughout Northern Colorado as part of CP2’s litigation team. Mr. Chudacoff’s practice focuses on general commercial litigation with an emphasis on resolving disputes related to business, real estate, natural resources, and employment matters.  He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Colorado and the State of Wyoming, as well as the U.S. Federal District Court for the Districts of Colorado and Wyoming.

Mr. Chudacoff is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Wyoming College of Law.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Pathfinder Drug Abuse Treatment Council and is a member of Inns of Court.

Jody Duvall collaborates with clients from a variety of industries throughout Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming to resolve labor and employment issues.  Mr. Duvall focuses his practice on advising employers on issues such as hiring, termination, discipline, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, trade secrets, unfair competition, and wage and hour matters, among others.  Mr. Duvall also represents employers before federal and state labor and employment agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, and their state-level counterparts.  Mr. Duvall has successfully defended employers in agency actions and lawsuits that include allegations of wrongful termination, unlawful discharge, discrimination, and retaliation.

In addition to his labor and employment practice, Mr. Duvall represents clients in general commercial litigation matters before state and federal trial and appellate courts, administrative agencies, arbitration, and mediation.  Mr. Duvall’s litigation practice includes areas such as real estate disputes; creditor’s rights and bankruptcy; insurance subrogation; contract disputes; entity formation, management, and dissolution; intellectual property protection; and commercial disputes, among others.
