Coan, Payton & Payne, LLC (“CP2”) is pleased to announce that managing member, G. Brent Coan, has been appointed as Chair of the Business Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. The Colorado Bar Association’s Business Law Section provides information and assistance to practicing attorneys in the areas of corporate, partnership, commercial and banking law and offers them a means of influencing legislation and working for improvements in the law and the judicial system. Among other things, the section sponsors an ongoing program of monitoring and updating corporate, partnership, securities and other business-oriented laws.

Mr. Coan’s law practice focuses on corporate and real estate related matters including: purchase and sale transactions; business organization and capitalization; corporate M&A transactions; land planning and development; oil and gas development and transactions. He also handles all issues related to financial institutions and lender/creditors’ rights involving real estate and commercial loan transactions.
