G. Brent Coan Appointed Chair of the Business Law Section

Coan, Payton & Payne, LLC (“CP2”) is pleased to announce that managing member, G. Brent Coan, has been appointed as Chair of the Business Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association.  The Colorado Bar Association’s Business Law Section provides information and assistance to practicing attorneys in the areas of corporate, partnership, commercial and banking law and offers them a means of influencing legislation and working for improvements in the law and the judicial system. Among other things, the section sponsors an ongoing program of monitoring and updating corporate, partnership, securities and other business-oriented laws.

“It is a true honor for Brent to have been selected by his peers, the best and brightest business attorneys in Colorado, to serve as the Chair of the Business Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association,” said founding member, Michael C. Payne. “Our whole team is so proud of Brent and of the hard work and dedication he has displayed in being elected to this position.”

Mr. Coan’s law practice focuses on corporate and real estate related matters including: purchase and sale transactions; business organization and capitalization; corporate M&A transactions; land planning and development; oil and gas development and transactions. He also handles all issues related to financial institutions and lender/creditors’ rights involving real estate and commercial loan transactions. To meet the needs of his clients, Mr. Coan works out of each of the firm’s office locations in Denver, Fort Collins and Greeley.
