G. Brent Coan elected as Secretary/Treasurer of the Business Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association

_0001s_0013_G. Brent Coan 3.webCongratulations to G. Brent Coan for his election as Secretary/Treasurer of the Business Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association.

Mr. Coan was also re-elected as the Co-Chair of the Financial Institutions Subsection. The elections were effective July 1, 2013. Mr. Coan will serve a two-year term.

The Business Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association provides information and assistance to practitioners in corporate, partnership, commercial and banking law and offers them a means of influencing legislation and working for improvements in the law and the judicial system. Among other things, the section sponsors an ongoing program of monitoring and updating corporate, partnership, securities and other business-oriented laws.

Mr. Coan received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with honors from the University of Northern Colorado and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Denver. Mr. Coan is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Arizona and the State of Colorado including the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. Mr. Coan is a member of the Arizona Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association.

Mr. Coan’s practice at CP2 focuses on corporate and real estate related matters including purchase and sale transactions, business organization and capitalization, corporate M&A transactions, land planning and development, oil and gas development and transactions, all issues related to financial institutions and lender/creditor rights involving real estate and commercial loan transactions.
