Coan, Payton & Payne, LLC is pleased to announce that Steve Suneson, Esq. has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada (“AmCham Canada”) – Western Chapter, based in Calgary, Alberta. The American Chamber of Commerce in Canada (AmCham Canada) is a private, non-profit, membership organization that promotes the two-way flow of trade, goods, services and investment between Canada and the United States. AmCham Canada West annually organizes approximately 15 events that cover a wide range of networking needs. In addition to his US corporate practice, Mr. Suneson has substantial cross-border and international experience assisting Canadian companies and individuals in the US in a practical and cost-efficient manner. Steve assists Canadian companies to establish a US presence, avoid typical legal pitfalls, and solve other US issues so Canadian companies can focus on growth and expansion in the US. His international transactions practice focuses on the following sectors: technology, software development and licensing, manufacturing, distribution, retail, services and construction. Mr. Suneson has lectured on various U.S. legal issues in Canada pertaining to foreign companies doing business in the U.S.
